It was always a dream of mine to step on stage as a bikini competitor. It was Brannan who helped me make this dream a reality. I wasn't sure where to begin and she helped me get started with everything I needed. From figuring out the correct macros for my body to creating a tailored 12-week workout plan to get me stage ready. I was confident I was in good hands. If ever I had a question, she was always available to answer it. She made the process so simple, even down to everything I needed for competition day. Brannan also helped me reverse diet after my competition so that I could carefully start adding more macros back into my diet to avoid sabotaging the body I had worked so hard for. Flexible dieting has allowed me to maintain the physique that I want without giving up the foods I enjoy most. It is truly a maintainable lifestyle and I am so thankful to have learned this process! I finally decided to take a leap of faith and reach out to Brannan after seeing one of her posts on Facebook. It was time for me to make a much needed change and it was honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made. I signed up for both the macro coaching and personal training. She is very knowledgeable and has guided me every step of the way. During my reverse diet she was able to take me from 1300 calories to 2000 while I maintained my goal weight. If you put in the work and trust in Brannan, she will get you where you want to be. The workouts are intense and individually designed to push you to reach your goals. If you are serious about making a change and willing to put in the work, the results will be worth it. I have tried numerous times to work out and diet on my own, but have never been happy with my results and found it extremely hard to stay motivated. I can honestly say Brannan is AMAZING! Brannan has truly become a friend as well as many of the other ladies I've met through her services. I love the community she has created for everyone! If you are on the fence, I'd challenge you to take the same leap, you won't regret it! Worth every dime!
I have always struggled with my weight. Yo-yo dieting was my life…lose weight, regain weight, repeat. When menopause hit, I found it harder and harder to lose weight and the belly fat set in—something that I thought was just an inevitability for a woman in her 50’s. Couple this with a new job that was much more sedentary than my previous job as an elementary principal, and the weight just kept creeping on, along with the loss of any muscle tone I once had. So, I made a New Year’s resolution (for the umpteenth time) to lose weight. I started with my typical approach of crash dieting—eating very few calories, skipping meals, etc. The scale did not budge. And then, one night while scrolling through Facebook, I ran across an ad in one of those swap sites from a personal trainer offering a New Year’s package of strength training and macro/nutritional coaching. Enter Brannan Steele Mirr into my life! Little did I know then just how much she would impact my life.
Brannan started our journey together with a one-on-one coaching session learning a little about me, my eating, and my non-existing exercise habits. She created a personalized nutrition plan that balanced the macronutrients - fats, carbs, and proteins. Since I was already not eating much, she started me at 1300 calories. After a week, no weight loss. We dropped to 1200, and no weight loss. Brannan was not comfortable with me eating any less and concluded that my metabolism had adapted to the low calories I had been eating for so long which is why I was not losing weight. Time to reverse diet. Eat more?! That sounded absolutely nuts to me, but her mantra, and now mine, is “trust the process.” I put my complete trust and faith in Brannan as she gradually increased my calories, always balancing the macros in just the right proportions. Along with this reverse diet, I was strength training with Brannan 3 times a week. Keep in mind, I had never lifted a weight in my life! To my amazement, I began to lose weight! As crazy as this sounds, Brannan kept increasing my calories every week, AND I kept losing weight! Before long I was eating 2,000 calories a day and had hit my maintenance level. During this reverse diet, I lost 15 pounds, yet I was literally eating all the time. Brannan kept me at 2,000 calories long enough for my metabolism to be restored. She then later dropped my calories to 1500 where I lost another 10.5 pounds for a total of 25.5 lbs in a years time. But the scale does not tell the full story. Because of the weight lifting 3 times a week and HIIT cardio mixed in, I have gained a tremendous amount of muscle and have lost a total of 24.75 inches (arms, thighs, waist, hips, and bust). Now, this journey still requires work, but I have been able to eat pretty much anything I want, as long as it fits within my macros. I have learned how to fuel my body with the right nutrients, instead of using food as either a reward (binge eating) or a punishment (starvation), which was why I was always caught in that vicious yo-yo dieting cycle. I decided to make a commitment to myself, my health, and my emotional well-being. And in doing so, I have gained self-confidence, clarity, energy, and focus. My journey is not yet complete, nor will it ever be because this is now my lifestyle.
I started my journey at 55 and my "after" photo was just before turning 59 years old, proving it is never too late to start! I lost a total of 35 pounds, but also gained muscle. I did three reverse diets in total to reach my goal. I now sit at my goal weight eating just over 2000 calories. I can honestly say that I am in the best shape of my life, both physically and mentally. I have put in the work, and I am proud of myself. But, truth is, I would not be in this healthy, fit, and happy place without Brannan. This girl knows her stuff! She treats each client as an individual and truly cares about you as a person. She will work with you to create a customized nutrition plan and workout plan that will help you reach your goals. But don’t expect easy…she will push you to levels you never thought possible. And through every phase of your personal journey, you will hear her say, “trust the process!” I did, I am, and I will!

My wife and I both chose to work with Brannan as we were curious about macro counting for a few different reasons. Korine was mostly looking to maintain her weight, but wanted to increase her daily calorie intake without gaining weight. She went from eating 1500 calories to just over 2000 calories over the course of about 10 weeks. My goal was to lean out, but then ultimately we agreed to take it a step further as I wanted to gain more strength and muscle mass. The most impressive part in all of this was not ever feeling deprived which was a much welcomed approach. Macro counting allows us to enjoy vacations and going out without having to constantly battle the guilt of splurging. I don't believe a better way of eating/dieting exists. I needed help losing weight. I contacted Brannan and within 48 hours she had a macro plan to fit my needs along with the type of exercise that would most benefit me. Brannan has held me accountable every step of the way. I have mandatory weigh-ins and food log checks weekly. This not only allows me to see the progress I'm making, but it allows her to know if she needs to make any changes. She is very responsive through either text messages or phone calls. Since I started using Brannan as my food coach, I have lost 20 lbs and now I am on a reverse diet. I'm currently eating just under 2,000 calories and maintaining my weight. I am extremely happy with what we've accomplished! I would recommended Brannan's macro coaching to anyone looking to achieve their health and fitness goals! I've done strict dieting before and this beats it by far! It's truly a lifestyle, not a diet.
I didn't want to obsess over my weight anymore. After having a baby it was time for me to crack down and focus on my personal goals. Brannan helped guide me on this journey as my trainer and food coach. I couldn't have done it without her holding me accountable and encouraging me along the way. Having someone to cheer you on or pick you up when you have a mental breakdown and want to quit really makes the process so much easier. It's too easy to throw in the towel if you don't have someone that knows exactly how and why your body is or isn't responding to something and can correctly make the perfect changes when needed. With a tailored long distance workout program and an amazing macro plan, I was able to find the "old me" and put away those maternity clothes!
I was looking for someone to help me lower my body fat. I was referred to Brannan through a friend. Although we were a state apart, she helped me succeed through text messages and phone calls. After our initial consultation she tweaked my workouts and set my macros to numbers that would best help me reach the goal I was striving toward. She also thoroughly explained how to log my food and count macros. Prior to discovering results, my biggest issues with eating was discipline, accountability and understanding moderation. Now I can confidently say that I no longer have those issues thanks to Brannan. Not only did she help me reach my short-term goals, she taught me that it's ok to indulge at times without losing focus. In my opinion, Brannan is the best in the business and I highly recommend her!
I started working with Brannan just after I had my 3rd child. I was really wanting to lose the extra pregnancy weight. For years I have always struggled with my weight. I have exercised on a regular basis, but I would struggle with the diet portion. I have probably tried every diet imaginable. I would lose 10-15 pounds, but as soon as I went back to my old eating habits I would gain the weight back. When I first met Brannan and she explained flexible dieting by counting my macros, I knew this was going to work for me! With flexible dieting, I never feel like I am on a diet because I can still eat whatever I want as long as I stay within my macros. Brannan also created workouts for me to follow so I knew exactly what I had to do at the gym. By having Brannan checking my food log on a regular basis and doing weekly weigh-ins, she held me accountable to stick to the plan. She would also make adjustments to my macros or workouts based on my results. Within four months of working with Brannan I lost over 30 pounds. I finally had my confidence back! Then she had me start a reverse diet. I slowly went from 1250 calories to 1800 calories over the next 12 weeks to avoid gaining weight and I feel great! I'm enjoying food, doing 3 days a week of maintenance workouts, and holding my new weight. Never dreamed in a million years this would be possible.
The struggle is so very real, but this is my journey and I hope I can inspire at least one person. My body is not perfect, it’s a work in progress. The key is to start and then NEVER GIVE UP! I have lost many inches and pounds and couldn’t have done it without Brannan! I have gone from a size 16 to a size 10! I did not do this through a fad diet nor did I starve myself. This change is purely from learning how to eat within reason and dedicating 4% of my day to a workout. Thank you to the best macro coach and trainer anyone could ask for!!! Brannan is extremely dedicated to what she does. She knows exactly what it takes to get each individual person to their goal.
